Born on 3rd June 1984 in Modena, Italy, Alessandro Bottura has been fascinated by music since he was a child, first studying the piano, then guitar and drums and finally teaching himself to play the bass.

After a number of experiences in various rock formations, he found himself more and more drawn to the sounds of jazz and funk and started to concentrate his playing around these styles, following prestigious courses both in Italy and the United States.

The result of this formative period finally bore its first fruit with the release of his debut album “Morning Grooves” in 2009, 9 bass-driven jazz/funk tracks on which Alessandro played all the instruments himself. The album proved to be very successful online, topping independent online jazz charts in the USA and drawing very positive feedback from enthusiastic listeners around the world.

In 2010 Alessandro released a re-mastered version of the album with two new bonus tracks and a new single. He is currently working on the tracks for his second album due for release in the very near future.
