Thomas Erxleben, aka Shardik's Walkman, was born in Berlin on 7th march 1964. During the early '80s he played with a number of bands such as Desaster, Steam Radio and Groolsch. In the late '80s he started to collaborate with new-age musicians playing synthesizers and home-made electronic instruments.
During the '90s Thomas started on his own computer-aided compositions using the Amiga 2000 and OctaMED. Many of these compositions were published on floppy discs in computer magazines and on Amiga bulletin boards.
Since 2003, Thomas has been composing music with a combination of vintage synthesizers and DAW's (see below) hosting his work on numerous internet platforms. His compositions have been used by a number of major brands such as Volvo and Le Coq Sportif for commercials, and has been played on many radio stations throughout Europe.
